Author Guidelines

Authors are invited to make a submission to this journal. All submissions will be assessed by an editor to determine whether they meet the aims and scope of this journal. Those considered to be a good fit will be sent for peer review before determining whether they will be accepted or rejected.

Before making a submission, authors are responsible for obtaining permission to publish any material included with the submission, such as photos, documents and datasets. All authors identified on the submission must consent to be identified as an author. Where appropriate, research should be approved by an appropriate ethics committee in accordance with the legal requirements of the study's country.

An editor may desk reject a submission if it does not meet minimum standards of quality. Before submitting, please ensure that the study design and research argument are structured and articulated properly. The title should be concise and the abstract should be able to stand on its own. This will increase the likelihood of reviewers agreeing to review the paper. When you're satisfied that your submission meets this standard, please follow the checklist below to prepare your submission.

Thank you for considering “Studies in Science of Science” as a potential outlet for your research. To ensure a smooth submission process and maintain the quality of our publication, please carefully review the following guidelines before preparing and submitting your manuscript:

  1. Scope and Focus:
  • Familiarize yourself with the aim and scope of “Studies in Science of Science” to ensure that your manuscript aligns with the journal’s focus on multidisciplinary research.
  • We welcome original research articles, review papers, case studies, and perspectives that contribute to a deeper understanding of multidisciplinary research.
  1. Manuscript Preparation:
  • Prepare your manuscript according to the journal’s formatting guidelines, including font size, line spacing, and margin specifications.
  • Manuscripts should be submitted in MS Word in Times New Roman and Word Size of 15 for Main Title, 14 (Bold) for Subtitles and 12 for the Body.
  • Include a title page with the manuscript title, author(s)’ names and affiliations, corresponding author’s contact information, and any acknowledgments or funding disclosures.
  • The Manuscript should contain a maximum of 15 Pages.
  • All the paragraphs should be Justified, One Column and there should be Single Line Spacing between each paragraph. All the tables, pictures must be in JPEG Format with high resolution.
  • The composition of manuscripts should be as follows: Heading, Abstract, Keywords, Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results and Discussion, Conclusion, Acknowledgment, References.
  • Please declare competing interest of authors if any.
  • Use clear and concise language, adhering to academic writing standards.
  1. Structured Abstract:
  • Provide a structured abstract (maximum 250 words) summarizing the purpose, methods, results, and conclusions of your study.
  • Ensure that the abstract accurately reflects the content and significance of your manuscript.
  1. Keywords:
  • Include 3-5 keywords or phrases that accurately represent the main topics or themes of your manuscript.
  • Choose keywords that are relevant to the field of psychiatry and the content of your research.
  1. Main Text:
  • Organize your manuscript into sections such as Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, and Conclusion, as appropriate for your study design.
  • Clearly state the research question or hypothesis, describe your methods in sufficient detail, present your results objectively, and interpret your findings in the context of existing literature.
  • Acknowledge any limitations of your study and propose future directions for research, if applicable.
  1. References:
  • Cite relevant literature using a consistent citation style (e.g., APA, MLA, Chicago) throughout the manuscript.
  • Include a comprehensive list of references at the end of the manuscript, following the journal’s citation format guidelines.
  1. Figures and Tables:
  • If applicable, include figures, tables, and other visual aids to support your findings.
  • Ensure that all figures and tables are numbered, titled, and referenced in the main text.
  1. Ethical Considerations:
  • Follow ethical guidelines for research involving human participants, animal subjects, and/or sensitive data.
  • Disclose any potential conflicts of interest or sources of funding that may influence the interpretation of your results.
  1. Submission Process:
  • Submit your manuscript via the submission link or vai email to the editorial office at editorsisos@gmail.com.
  • Include the manuscript as an attachment in Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) format.
  • In the subject line of the email, indicate “Submission: [Manuscript Title]” for easy identification.
  • Include a cover letter with your submission, briefly describing the significance of your research and any additional information relevant to the editors.
  1. Peer Review and Publication:
  • Your manuscript will undergo peer review by experts in the field, and you will receive feedback on your submission.
  • If accepted for publication, you may be required to revise your manuscript based on reviewer comments before final publication.
