Examining the Evolution of Technology Alliances in Chinese Academic Research: A Study from 1995 to 2004

Abstract

This study investigates the evolution of technology alliances in Chinese academic research from 1995 to 2004. Drawing on longitudinal data and bibliometric analysis, we examine the trends, patterns, and themes in technology alliances among Chinese academic institutions during this period. Through a comprehensive review of academic publications, patents, and collaboration networks, we analyze the emergence of key research themes, the evolution of collaborative networks, and the impact of technological advancements on alliance formation and dynamics. Additionally, we explore the factors driving the evolution of technology alliances, including government policies, institutional collaborations, and technological capabilities. Insights derived from this study contribute to a deeper understanding of the dynamics of technology alliances in Chinese academic research and offer implications for fostering innovation and collaboration in the academic sector.
