Abstract

This research investigates the influence of stimulation mechanisms and knowledge integration on management innovation within International Joint Ventures (IJVs). IJVs, formed through collaboration between domestic and foreign firms, represent complex organizational entities operating in diverse cultural, institutional, and competitive environments. Drawing upon theoretical frameworks from organizational behavior, innovation management, and international business, this study develops a conceptual model to elucidate the mechanisms through which incentive structures and knowledge integration processes influence the generation and implementation of innovative management practices in IJVs. Stimulation mechanisms encompass a range of incentives, rewards, and performance evaluation systems designed to motivate managers and employees to engage in innovative behavior. Knowledge integration refers to the processes through which diverse sources of knowledge, including tacit and explicit knowledge from different partners and contexts, are synthesized, shared, and applied within the IJV context. Through empirical analysis utilizing survey data, case studies, and interviews with IJV managers, this study seeks to empirically validate the proposed model and explore the moderating effects of contextual factors such as cultural diversity, institutional environments, and industry characteristics. The findings of this research contribute to a deeper understanding of the determinants of management innovation in IJVs and provide practical insights for managers, policymakers, and academics seeking to enhance the innovation capabilities and performance of international collaborative ventures.
