Abstract

This paper explores the evolution of myth analysis within the context of scientific discourse, tracing its development from its origins in literary criticism to its current interdisciplinary manifestations. Drawing upon insights from structuralism, post-structuralism, feminism, postcolonial theory, and digital humanities, this study examines how scholars have applied mythological frameworks to analyze scientific texts and narratives. Through a critical lens, the paper interrogates the ideological underpinnings, narrative strategies, and rhetorical devices employed in scientific discourse to construct knowledge claims and shape cultural meanings. It highlights the role of myth analysis in challenging traditional narratives of progress, rationality, and universalism in science, and in unveiling the cultural assumptions, power dynamics, and social inequalities embedded within scientific texts. By synthesizing diverse theoretical perspectives and methodological approaches, this research contributes to a deeper understanding of the complex interplay between science, culture, and society, and offers insights into the broader implications of scientific knowledge production and dissemination.
