Abstract

This empirical investigation delves into the effects of knowledge integration activities on the organizational assimilation of information systems (IS). With the rapid advancement of technology, organizations are continuously adopting and implementing IS to enhance their operational efficiency and competitiveness. However, the successful assimilation of IS within organizations requires more than just technological deployment; it necessitates effective knowledge integration processes to leverage the potential benefits of these systems. Drawing on a mixed-methods approach combining surveys and interviews, this study examines the relationship between knowledge integration initiatives and the assimilation of IS in organizations. It explores various knowledge integration mechanisms, including knowledge sharing, collaboration, training programs, and organizational learning initiatives, and their impact on IS assimilation outcomes such as system usage, user satisfaction, and performance improvement. Furthermore, this research investigates the moderating effects of organizational culture, leadership support, and IS complexity on the relationship between knowledge integration activities and IS assimilation. The findings provide valuable insights for both researchers and practitioners by highlighting the significance of fostering a conducive organizational environment and implementing effective knowledge integration strategies to facilitate the successful assimilation of IS. By addressing the gap between technological implementation and organizational utilization, this study contributes to enhancing the effectiveness and efficiency of IS deployment, ultimately driving organizational performance and competitiveness.
