Abstract

This paper offers a comprehensive exploration of the role of technological innovations in advancing agricultural sustainability within the context of agglomeration development, presenting insights from a global perspective. Agricultural sustainability is increasingly vital in addressing pressing challenges such as food security, environmental degradation, and rural livelihoods. Within the framework of agglomeration development, characterized by the clustering of agricultural activities, technological innovations play a crucial role in enhancing efficiency, productivity, and environmental stewardship. Through an interdisciplinary review, this study examines the diverse applications of technology, including precision agriculture, digitalization, and automation, in promoting sustainable practices within agglomerated farming systems worldwide. By analyzing case studies and empirical evidence, the paper elucidates how technological advancements contribute to optimizing resource utilization, minimizing environmental impacts, and improving socio-economic outcomes for farmers and rural communities. Moreover, it discusses challenges such as access, affordability, and digital literacy, while exploring strategies for fostering technology transfer, capacity building, and inclusive growth within agglomerated agricultural economies. Ultimately, this research underscores the significance of leveraging technological innovations to propel agricultural sustainability within agglomeration development, offering actionable insights for policymakers, practitioners, and stakeholders across the globe.
