Abstract

This research focuses on evaluating the performance of Research and Development (R&D) projects, with a particular emphasis on assessing both efficiency and effectiveness metrics. By employing a multi-dimensional framework, we aim to provide a comprehensive analysis of R&D project performance that goes beyond traditional measures of success. Utilizing data from a diverse range of R&D projects across different industries and sectors, we examine the efficiency of resource utilization, including time, budget, and human capital, as well as the effectiveness of project outcomes in achieving desired objectives and delivering innovation. Through a combination of quantitative analysis and qualitative assessment, we identify key factors influencing performance, such as project management practices, team composition, collaboration dynamics, and external influences. Our findings aim to provide valuable insights for R&D practitioners, policymakers, and project managers seeking to optimize project performance and enhance the impact of their innovation efforts.
