This study employs grounded theory methodology to explore the characteristics and influencing factors of effective utilization of research funding. Through in-depth interviews, document analysis, and iterative data analysis processes, we aim to identify patterns, themes, and relationships underlying successful utilization of research funding across diverse research contexts and disciplines. The study focuses on understanding the strategies, practices, and behaviors adopted by researchers and research organizations to maximize the impact and outcomes of funded projects. Additionally, we examine the institutional, organizational, and individual factors that facilitate or hinder effective utilization of research funding, including governance structures, incentive systems, collaboration networks, leadership styles, and project management practices. By elucidating the underlying mechanisms and dynamics of research funding utilization, this study contributes to the development of evidence-based policies and practices aimed at enhancing the efficiency, transparency, and accountability of research funding allocation and utilization processes.
