Abstract

This research examines the effect of knowledge management practices on the development of dynamic capabilities within product processes. Drawing upon the dynamic capabilities framework and knowledge management literature, we investigate how effective knowledge management strategies facilitate the creation, integration, and utilization of knowledge to enhance the agility, adaptability, and innovativeness of product development processes. Through a mixed-methods approach incorporating qualitative case studies and quantitative analysis of survey data, we explore the mechanisms through which knowledge management practices such as knowledge sharing, collaboration, learning, and knowledge codification contribute to the acquisition and exploitation of dynamic capabilities. Furthermore, we examine the role of organizational culture, leadership, and technology infrastructure in shaping the effectiveness of knowledge management initiatives. The findings of this study provide valuable insights for managers and practitioners seeking to leverage knowledge management as a strategic tool for building dynamic capabilities and achieving sustainable competitive advantage in product innovation and development.
