Abstract

This research investigates the intricate array of factors that influence knowledge sharing behavior among key stakeholders engaged in complex product development processes. Employing a mixed-methods approach encompassing qualitative interviews, surveys, and network analysis, the study examines how individual, organizational, and contextual factors shape the propensity of stakeholders to share knowledge critical for successful product development. Through an in-depth exploration of diverse stakeholder perspectives, the research identifies key determinants such as trust, communication channels, incentive structures, organizational culture, and project complexity, shedding light on their interplay and relative significance in facilitating or hindering knowledge sharing efforts. Moreover, it explores the role of technology-enabled collaboration platforms and knowledge management systems in enhancing knowledge exchange and collaboration among dispersed stakeholders across different stages of the product development lifecycle. Drawing upon empirical data from multiple industries and case studies, the study provides actionable insights for practitioners and policymakers seeking to optimize knowledge sharing practices and foster innovation in complex product development contexts. By advancing our understanding of the multifaceted nature of knowledge sharing behavior within collaborative networks, this research contributes to the development of effective strategies and interventions to enhance organizational learning, creativity, and competitiveness in dynamic and uncertain environments.
