Abstract

The novel A New World covers all the senses of the modern world and especially the regional focus covered in this novel is about continents and the concepts coming under individuals who have started to move looking for circumstances and fortunes.
Indians particularly swing toward the West, to the U.S.A. for employments. This migration from regions is expressed meaningfully. Amit Chaudhuri’s Sahitya Akademi Award-winning novel, A New World (2000) depicts the life of Jayojit, a Bengali economist, teaching in America, who visits India (Calcutta) in the event of a tumulus divorce with his wife, who has left him for a gynaecologist who lives in America.
