A Study of Stationary Analysis of an M/M/1 Fluid Queue Subject to Balking and Breakdown

In this paper, we analyze a fluid queue model by a single server subject to breakdown (catastrophes) and balking. An analytical expression for the steady state of an M/M/1 fluid queue under balking and breakdown is obtained in closed form. Further the content of the buffer is derived by using the Laplace transforms and continued fraction method.
