Authors

Abstract

An observer of the Algerian city will note that its collective housing districts suffer from a number of urban and environmental problems, manifested by the appearance of degradation and deformation within residential complexes due to several factors, including the role of the user of urban space, who affects urban space, creates visual pollution and thus directly affects the aesthetic image of the city in general.

The city of M’sila is witnessing visual pollution, especially at the level of the city's urban destinations. In this paper, we will study the collective housing to find out the extent of the impact of internal changes to the dwelling and external additions in causing visual pollution at the level of the facades, which negatively affected the urban form, aesthetic character and visual image of the city.

This paper aims to identify and diagnose the current situation and suggest some ways to eliminate the issue on the one hand and improve the urban environment on the other.
