PERCEPTIONS OF STUDENTS REGARDING THE IMPACT OF ENTREPRENEURSHIP EDUCATION IN COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIES IN NIGERIA

The aim of this study was to assess the perceptions of students regarding the impact of entrepreneurship education in colleges and universities in Nigeria, using Taraba State as a case study. The research was conducted using a descriptive survey. The study's sample size was 943 students. The data collection instrument called: Perceptions on the impact of Entrepreneurial Education on Poverty Alleviation Questionnaire (PIEPAQ) was developed by the researchers. The study also shows that the tested hypothesis was proven to be statistically different in the mean scores on the perception of the impact on gender, in job aspiration, discipline, and institutions, as well as their perception of the influence of entrepreneurial education and technology in Taraba State colleges and universities. Researchers proposed that Entrepreneurship education along with modern technology innovation should be made available at all levels of learning, and the government should empower unemployed graduates who are interested in entrepreneurship with a special loan scheme.
