Abstract

To achieve this goal it was: analyzed the concept of social protection and identify its tools; identified key regulations that determine the features of social protection in a pandemic COVID-19, compared the means of social protection of the Member States of the European Union; formulated concrete and substantiated proposals for improving the level of social protection of the population in the context of the COVID–19 pandemic. The following methods were actively used for economic and legal analysis of social protection: comparative legal method in the study of social protection in Ukraine and other countries, in the process of which it was found that Ukraine has actively adopted the international experience of the Coronavirus Fund an integral part of the budget of Ukraine. In the article, the authors analyzed the existing and proposed new measures of social protection in a pandemic СOVID-19. The results of the study can be used for further theoretical research and improvement of existing legislation.
