HERBAL FACE CREAM FORMULATION AND ITS ANTIMICROBIAL PROPERTIES AGAINST SKIN PATHOGENS

Herbal cosmetics are used for the better appearance of the person. The main goal of the research work is to develop best moisturizing, nourishing, whitening and treating various skin conditions herbal cream. Aloe vera, cucumber peel and kasturi manjal are medicinal plants traditionally used in many medicines such as siddha, ayurveda and homeopathy. Some medicinal products and many cosmetics are prepared from the aloe vera gel present in the centre of the aloe vera leaf. Mucilaginous tissue of aloe vera doesn’t have anthraquinone. However, whole leaf extract may contain anthraquinone. Aloe vera contains seventy-five potentially active constituents such as vitamins, enzymes, sugars, minerals, amino acids and saponins. Cucumber peels are rich in fibre and minerals like magnesium, silica and potassium. They are an essential component for keeping bones, muscles and tendons healthy. Silica also hydrates the skin, increases vision and complexion. Kasturi manjal, also known as wild turmeric, is renowned for its antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties, making it an excellent ingredient for skincare products. Natural herbal ingredients have been used for many centuries for skincare purposes. Recent years, the formulation becomes more prevalent due to consumers concerns on chemical substances and synthetic ingredients. An antioxidant and antimicrobial activities, as well as tyrosinase inhibition effects of plant extracts are more concerns in skincare.
