This research explores the evolution of collaborative relationships among clustered firms within the context of globalization. Drawing on longitudinal case studies and network analysis, we investigate the dynamics of collaborative interactions among firms located within industrial clusters across different global regions. Our findings reveal a complex evolution of collaborative relationships, characterized by shifts in partner selection, collaboration intensity, and network structures over time. We identify several key determinants driving these evolutionary dynamics, including changes in market dynamics, technological advancements, institutional factors, and strategic reorientations of firms in response to global forces. Moreover, we elucidate the role of external shocks, such as economic crises and geopolitical shifts, in shaping the collaborative behavior of clustered firms. Insights derived from this research contribute to a deeper understanding of the mechanisms governing collaborative relationships within industrial clusters in a globalized context, with implications for policymakers, business leaders, and researchers seeking to foster innovation and competitiveness in clustered industries.
