Abstract

This study investigates the impact of board governance effectiveness on the performance of Global Bank Ethiopia; a critical relationship that had not been clearly defined previously. The importance of this research lies in the necessity for enhanced operational efficiency and sustainable growth within the banking sector. The research specifically focuses on how effective governance practices influence performance metrics, including financial returns, customer satisfaction, and risk management. Through a mixed-methods approach, utilizing both quantitative and qualitative methodologies, the study highlights the significance of governance in driving performance. Key findings illustrate a positive correlation between governance practices and bank performance, providing actionable recommendations for improvement. Ultimately, this study emphasizes the necessity for continuous improvements in governance practices to foster growth in an increasingly competitive environment.
