Abstract

Parenting plays a crucial role in shaping children's behavior, personality, and cognitive development. Among various parenting styles, democratic and autocratic parenting have distinct influences on children's impulsivity. Impulsive behavior, characterized by difficulty in self-regulation, poor decision-making, and lack of foresight, is significantly influenced by the nature of parental control and responsiveness. This essay examines how democratic and autocratic parenting styles contribute to impulsive behavior in children and adolescents.
