Abstract

Employee engagement is a critical determinant of organizational success, particularly in the dynamic landscape of the public banking sector. As the engagement of employees helps in better customer satisfaction, Service quality, operational efficiency, employee retention, talent attraction, risk management and cost savings, the evaluation of the employee management is utmost important for the future.  The study aims to deliver a comprehensive understanding of the influencing factors of employee engagement within public banks in India and to identify generational variations in the levels and drivers of engagement using Qualitative Meta analysis. This meta-analysis explores the nuances of employee engagement by examining the perspectives of three distinct generations – Generation X, Generation Y, and Generation Z. Credibility, Transferability, Dependability and Confirmability are the measures used for quality appraisal of the collected citations and Thematic Analysis has been performed and results are obtained. The result suggests that key factors influencing employee engagement in the public banking sector are organizational culture, leadership styles, work-life balance, technological integration, and career development opportunities and management strategies should be designed to accommodate the generation differences fosters engagement, enhances retention, and ensures organizational adaptability amidst demographic shifts in the banking sector.
