This study examines the willingness of agricultural research staff towards technology extension initiatives, utilizing data gathered from an investigation conducted in Sichuan Province, China. Technology extension plays a pivotal role in disseminating innovative agricultural practices and enhancing productivity and sustainability in rural areas. Through a survey-based approach, this research assesses the attitudes, motivations, and barriers influencing agricultural research staff's willingness to engage in technology extension activities. The analysis explores factors such as perceived benefits, knowledge dissemination channels, institutional support, and professional incentives that shape researchers' attitudes towards technology transfer and adoption by farmers. Furthermore, the study investigates the implications of demographic characteristics, educational background, and research specialization on researchers' willingness to participate in extension programs. By identifying key determinants and challenges, this study offers insights for policymakers, agricultural extension agencies, and research institutions to develop targeted interventions and support mechanisms to enhance the effectiveness and uptake of technology extension efforts in agricultural development contexts.
