Abstract

This research investigates the factors influencing the intention to share tacit knowledge within innovative scientific research teams at universities. Tacit knowledge, which is deeply rooted in individuals' experiences, skills, and insights, plays a critical role in fostering innovation and advancing scientific research. However, sharing tacit knowledge within research teams can be challenging due to factors such as knowledge hoarding, interpersonal dynamics, and organizational culture. Through a multi-dimensional analysis encompassing individual, interpersonal, and organizational factors, this study examines how variables such as trust, communication, leadership, team cohesion, and organizational support influence researchers' intention to share tacit knowledge. Drawing upon survey data and qualitative interviews with members of innovative scientific research teams, the research identifies key determinants and barriers to knowledge sharing and explores strategies for promoting a culture of openness, collaboration, and knowledge exchange within research teams. By providing insights into the dynamics of tacit knowledge sharing in university research settings, this study offers practical implications for fostering innovation, enhancing research productivity, and cultivating a supportive and collaborative research environment.
