Abstract

This empirical study investigates indigenous innovation modes within organizations, drawing on the theoretical framework of the knowledge-based view (KBV). The KBV posits that firms can achieve sustainable competitive advantage through the creation, acquisition, and application of knowledge. Through surveys, interviews, and case studies, this research explores how organizations develop and implement indigenous innovation modes to leverage internal knowledge resources and capabilities. The study examines various indigenous innovation strategies, including knowledge creation through internal R&D efforts, knowledge acquisition through collaborations and partnerships, and knowledge application through organizational learning and adaptation. Furthermore, the research investigates the impact of indigenous innovation modes on firm performance, innovation outcomes, and competitive advantage. By providing empirical evidence and insights into the mechanisms through which organizations leverage knowledge-based resources for innovation, this study contributes to a deeper understanding of indigenous innovation and informs strategic decision-making and management practices.
