Scientometric Analysis of Psoriasis Research Publications: A Global Perspective

Abstract

The study exposes Scientometric Analysis of Psoriasis Research indexed in the PubMed database. <Psoriasis= as a search term in the all field tag fetched 3318 records and the period of coverage from 2009 to 2018. It is also observed that the maximum number of records (469) was published during the year 2015, followed by 435 in 2016 and 406 records in 2017. It wasfound that Journal Article (74.1%), Review (14.6%), Editorial Materials (4.9%), and Proceedings Paper (2.6%) out of 17 documents. USA is the most predominant country in this study (206records). UK(173records)and Israel(140 records) are second and third places respectively. Alice B. ottlieb(167 records), Orbai AM(143 records) and PawełKiciński (120 records) are contributed more publications in this research. Dermatology and Therapy has published maximum number of articles in psoriasis research output (167 records).During the ten years study period mean value is 331.8, median is 349, the range is 287 and the standard deviation value is 210.74. Average of degree of collaboration is impressive 0.919.
