Abstract

This empirical research study investigates the decision-making processes of firms regarding technology and knowledge transfer mechanisms. Through a mixed-methods approach combining qualitative interviews and quantitative surveys, the study aims to explore the factors influencing firms' choices of technology and knowledge transfer mechanisms, such as licensing, joint ventures, strategic alliances, and internal knowledge sharing platforms. The research examines how firm-specific factors, including technological capabilities, intellectual property strategies, organizational culture, and external environment dynamics, influence the selection and implementation of technology and knowledge transfer mechanisms. Additionally, the study investigates the perceived benefits, risks, and success factors associated with different transfer mechanisms, as well as the impact on firm performance and innovation outcomes. By offering empirical insights into firm decision-making regarding technology and knowledge transfer, this research contributes to advancing understanding of effective strategies for leveraging external and internal knowledge resources to drive innovation and competitive advantage.
