Abstract

This study applies queueing theory to analyze and improve the efficiency of ticket booking counters at Raipur Railway Station. By examining key parameters such as arrival rates, service rates, and system capacity, we aim to identify bottlenecks and propose solutions to reduce passenger wait times. The findings highlight the current utilization of the counters, the average number of passengers in the system, and the probability and duration of waiting times, offering actionable insights for enhancing operational performance.
