Abstract

Introduction: Dendrimers are unique polymeric compounds. These dendrimers are extremely functional larger molecules possessing a three-dimensional, mono disperse, extremely branched nano-scale architecture.

Novelty: The active ingredients are readily integrated into interior, chemically bonded, coupled or attracted on dendrimer's exterior physically, fulfilling the exact requirements of active agent & its applications in the field of health care while also providing the carrier's desired qualities

Methods and results: This review included many synthetic approaches like divergent growth method and convergent growth techniques utilized including dendrimer varieties & their commercial and laboratory synthesis. And also discussed making of dendrimers and issues involved in preparation methods, types and qualities. The significant role of these novel polymers including therapeutic, pharmaceutical, diagnostic, cosmetic applications & genetics, distribution of active agents via controlled and site-specific delivery are sited.

Conclusion: Considering its structural advantages, dendrimers are used majorly in domains of chemistry pharmaceuticals, and nanotechnology. On account of unique behaviour, dendrimers are engaged in numerous industrial and biomedical applications.
